Environmental policy

Reduce waste before making a claim about it.

Software still consumes electricity, devices, cloud capacity, travel, and supplier resources. This policy sets practical priorities for reducing that footprint across ResoluteX operations and delivery.

ResoluteX does not currently claim to be carbon neutral, net zero, or independently environmentally certified. We prefer measurable operating changes to an unverified badge.

01

Scope and responsibility

The policy covers office operations, remote work, business travel, equipment, cloud resources, software delivery, and suppliers where ResoluteX can reasonably influence the decision.

Leadership is responsible for keeping environmental considerations inside purchasing and delivery decisions rather than treating them as a separate marketing exercise.

02

Efficient software and infrastructure

Teams should right-size environments, remove idle resources, use caching and efficient data movement, and select architectures that meet the requirement without unnecessary compute.

Performance and cloud-cost work often reduce environmental load at the same time. Those gains should be measured in the units available, such as runtime, storage, transfer, or cloud consumption, rather than converted into invented carbon figures.

03

Equipment and electronic waste

Equipment should be maintained and used for its practical life. Repair, redeployment, secure refurbishment, and responsible recycling are preferred to premature replacement.

Storage media and devices containing customer or company information must be sanitised or destroyed appropriately before reuse or disposal.

04

Travel and ways of working

Written collaboration, remote demonstrations, and planned overlap are used when they can replace unnecessary travel. Travel is still appropriate when the delivery, relationship, or safety outcome justifies it.

When practical, teams should choose lower-impact local transport and combine meetings rather than multiplying journeys.

05

Offices and purchasing

ResoluteX aims to reduce avoidable energy, paper, packaging, and single-use material in its offices. Digital records are preferred where legal and operational requirements allow.

Supplier choices may consider durability, repairability, energy use, labour practices, and responsible disposal alongside price and capability.

06

Customer delivery

Environmental requirements can be included in architecture, hosting, procurement, performance, and reporting decisions when they matter to the customer. ResoluteX will not describe a customer system as sustainable without an agreed measure and evidence.
